In fields such as mid-infrared spectroscopy analysis, gas component detection, environmental exhaust gas monitoring, material red surface characterization, and online measurement and control in industrial processes, the working conditions, detection sensitivity, and long-term stability of infrared detectors directly determine the implementation cost and detection accuracy of the entire system. Traditional mid-infrared detectors generally require cryogenic cooling support, which results in complex equipment structures, high operation and maintenance costs, long start-up and shutdown times, and are prone to temperature drift interference. They are difficult to adapt to scenarios such as long-term continuous online monitoring, lightweight equipment integration, and fieldwork conditions detection. The 7ID4 series of lead sulfide (PbS) detectors from Saifan Optoelectronics break through the industry's reliance on cooling, relying on mature lead sulfide photoelectric sensing technology to achieve high-sensitivity mid-infrared detection at room temperature, without the need for liquid nitrogen or cooling modules. With low noise, high detection rate, and wide frequency response, they become the core standard detector for the 0.8–3.2 μm mid-infrared band.
This series of detectors is divided into two major models: the 7ID4321 domestic chip model and the 7ID4302 imported chip model. They precisely adapt to differentiated scientific research and industrial needs, covering the core mid-infrared range of 0.8–3.2 μm, perfectly covering gas characteristic absorption peaks and organic material infrared characteristic bands, and are suitable for most mid-infrared spectroscopy detection scenarios. The equipment is equipped with a high-precision low-noise preamplifier module, with an equivalent input noise of ≤ 1 μV, an input impedance of ≥ 3 MΩ, and a standard 50 times stable amplification factor. It can accurately capture nanowatt-level weak infrared light signals, completely solving the problems of micro-light signal distortion and low signal-to-noise ratio of conventional detectors. With a 20 Hz–100 KHz wide-frequency working range and ≤ 400 μs short-time constant, it responds quickly and has high signal restoration accuracy, and can adapt to demanding working conditions such as dynamic spectral scanning, continuous signal acquisition, and high-speed online detection.
Based on exclusive temperature compensation and precise sealing technology, the equipment achieves ultimate working stability. The dark current is extremely low and the baseline drift is weak under room temperature operation, completely avoiding data deviations caused by temperature fluctuations, supporting 7×24-hour uninterrupted continuous monitoring, and maintaining long-term working accuracy without attenuation and performance without drift. Abandoning the complex structure of traditional cooling detectors, the body is lightweight and integrated, without the need for cooling supporting equipment, significantly simplifying the system architecture, reducing equipment power consumption and later maintenance costs, and adapting to multiple scenarios such as laboratory precision research, industrial mass production measurement and control, and field portable detection.
The product adopts industry-standard installation dimensions, with extremely strong compatibility, and can seamlessly connect with Saifan's full range of optical equipment. It can be adapted to three-grating scanning monochromators, fiber halogen tungsten lamps, high-voltage stabilized power supplies, and electrically dual-opening slit linkage, quickly building an integrated and automated mid-infrared spectroscopy testing system. Widely used in gas analysis, environmental pollutant monitoring, petrochemical component detection, material infrared transmission and reflection testing, pharmaceutical spectral characterization, industrial flame monitoring and thermal radiation detection, it is a benchmark detector for high-performance, cost-effective, and mid-infrared detectors at room temperature in China.
With an uncooled lightweight design to reduce costs and increase efficiency, and with high-sensitivity and low-noise performance for precise detection. The 7ID4 series of lead sulfide detectors redefine the efficient, convenient, and stable new standard for mid-infrared low-light detection, laying a core sensor foundation for high-end spectroscopy research and industrial precise measurement and control.
