Professor Zhang from the Chemical Engineering Department of the university was once troubled by the 200㎡ strong ultraviolet light catalytic pilot platform: "The traditional supplementary lighting equipment requires 40 units to be connected, and the uniformity of the light is less than 55%. The catalytic efficiency of the same batch of experiments deviates by more than 25%, and no top journal paper has been produced for 4 years. Moreover, the LED equipment cannot provide high-intensity ultraviolet irradiation, making it difficult to meet the needs of pilot-scale expansion, and the industrialization process has been repeatedly postponed."
The Sefan Research Customized Stable Solar Simulator provides a "color palette of light" for scientific research breakthroughs. The equipment adopts a large-power xenon lamp array + distributed uniform light design, with each unit covering a 200㎡ pilot platform, and the light uniformity reaches 96%. The parallelism of experimental data has improved from 55% to 96%. It covers the full wavelength range of 300nm - 1100nm, supports independent adjustment of the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared bands with a precision of 1%, and the maximum ultraviolet irradiance reaches 800W/m², perfectly adapting to different light catalytic reaction requirements.
"Now the experimental deviation has decreased from 25% to 1.8%. In the past year, we have published 5 top-tier papers, obtained 6 patents, and successfully industrialized the project. Professor Zhang acknowledges the intelligent interlocking capability of the equipment. 'Through the upper computer software, the light intensity gradient and spectral combination can be set, and it can also be linked with the reaction vessel sensors to achieve closed-loop control. The experiments that were previously operated by 6 people can now be completed by just 1 person. The annual electricity cost has dropped from 250,000 yuan to 40,000 yuan. The maintenance workload has been reduced by 80%, and the frequent replacement of lamps and repeated calibration problems have been completely eliminated.'"
