In traditional laboratories, a desktop spectrometer often occupies half of the optical platform. The optical path setup is complex and difficult to move, and it is impossible to be embedded in the production line or the field for real-time detection. With the increasingly urgent demands for "fast, flexible, and in-situ" in scientific research and industrial detection, the fiber optic spectrometer, leveraging the advantages of flexible fiber sampling, compact structure, and USB plug-and-play, is becoming the mainstream solution for spectral measurement. The Sevan Optoelectronics 7IGF40 fiber optic spectrometer, with a 185–1100nm wide spectral coverage, 0.03nm high resolution, and 3648 unit linear array CCD detection, provides a small-sized and high-performance spectral analysis terminal for scientific research, industrial applications, and teaching.
The 7IGF40 has an effective wavelength range covering 185~1100nm, spanning the deep ultraviolet, visible light, and near-infrared bands. One device can complete multi-band spectral acquisition, without the need for multiple instrument splicing and changing segments. It is equipped with a 3648-unit linear array silicon CCD detector, combined with a 30μm fixed slit and a 600-line holographic grating. The highest spectral resolution can reach 0.03nm, with a wavelength repeatability error of less than 0.3nm, capable of resolving fine spectral structures and capturing subtle emission peaks, absorption shoulders, and other detailed features. The optical architecture of fixed grating + CCD array has no mechanical moving parts, and can collect the full spectrum in one shot without scanning, obtaining the complete spectral curve in milliseconds. This design is particularly suitable for rapid dynamic process monitoring.
The software is rich in functions, and is equipped with dedicated spectral analysis software, which can simultaneously complete spectral wavelength and intensity distribution measurement, absorbance measurement, color coordinates and color measurement, and support various analysis modes such as LED spectral analysis, light source radiance evaluation, material transmittance/reflectance characterization, etc. The software interface displays the spectral curve in real time, integrates CIE1931 color chart, color coordinate calculation, peak wavelength extraction and other functional modules, and the data can be exported and analyzed again, meeting the dual data specifications of scientific research papers and industrial quality inspection.
The body adopts a delicate black metal shell design, with a small volume, and a universal SMA905 optical fiber interface, which can flexibly connect various light sources, sampling accessories. USB direct power supply is provided, without the need for an external power source. A single USB cable can complete data transmission and power supply, and the device can work by connecting to a laptop computer, plug-and-play. This design enables the spectrometer to break free from the fixed position constraints of the laboratory - it can be handheld and brought to the production line, the experimental cabin, or even the field for in-situ measurement. It can also be networked with multiple units to build a distributed spectral monitoring system.
The accompanying ecosystem is complete, and various accessories such as light sources, fibers, CCD probes, sample holders, integrating spheres, etc. can be selected. It can quickly set up different measurement configurations such as transmission, reflection, absorption, and fluorescence. It can be linked with the Sevan 7ISC series sample chamber, 7IFW series filter wheel, 7IDA data acquisition device, etc., to build a complete micro-spectral testing system.
The application scenarios are wide: university material, chemistry, and physics laboratories, used for thin film optical characterization, fluorescence spectrum acquisition, research on material absorption and emission characteristics; LED lighting and display industry, for light source color temperature, color rendering index, spectral power distribution detection; photovoltaic and semiconductor fields, for testing battery spectral response, material transmittance; environmental monitoring and teaching experiments, for gas absorption, solution concentration, color quantitative analysis, etc.
Relying on the 20-year accumulation of spectral instrument research and development by Sevan Optoelectronics, the 7IGF40 has been verified through long-term market tests in terms of optical accuracy, software stability, and accessory compatibility. It is a cost-effective choice for domestic micro-fiber optic spectrometers. From the laboratory to the production line, from deep ultraviolet to near-infrared, a palm-sized device carries complete spectral analysis capabilities.
The 7IGF40 optical spectrometer enables spectral measurements to be carried out without being restricted by space or workstation boundaries - the optical fiber extends wherever, and the spectral analysis is conducted there as well.
